Based in Malaysia, this Corporate Counsel position supports Singtel's regional corporate functions from its Kuala Lumpur Shared Services Centre. The appointee will oversee end-to-end commercial contracting, managing negotiations with international suppliers and regional business partners. Working closely with teams in Singapore, the legal counsel will evaluate enterprise risks and provide strategic guidance across telecommunications and technology transactions.
หน้าที่ความรับผิดชอบ / Responsibilities
- Lead drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of procurement, partnership, and commercial agreements
- Deliver pragmatic, risk-aware legal guidance on operational and contractual issues
- Collaborate with internal units including IT, networks, and cross-functional teams
- Identify, assess, and mitigate corporate legal risks according to group policies
- Assist Singapore-based stakeholders remotely and align with group legal standards
- Establish standardized processes, contract governance, and documentation practices
คุณสมบัติ / Qualifications
- Law degree with bar admission in Malaysia, Singapore, or the United Kingdom
- Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Proven background in commercial contract negotiation, drafting, and cross-border transactions
- Strong grasp of corporate, commercial, and contract law principles
- Industry background in Technology, Media, and Telecommunications is highly advantageous
- Exceptional English communication skills and ability to manage multi-stakeholder relationships
