Based in Singapore, this position within DBS Bank's Middle Office Technology team supports the enterprise risk platform through scalable data engineering solutions. The developer will design and maintain distributed data processing pipelines using Spark, Scala, and the Hadoop ecosystem. Working closely with business analysts and engineers, the role ensures high-quality deployments that empower regulatory compliance and financial risk analytics across the bank.
หน้าที่ความรับผิดชอบ / Responsibilities
- Build Scala, Spark, and PySpark pipelines for data transformation and aggregation
- Write automated unit tests for data transformation processes and helper functions
- Query Parquet data and manage Hive schemas using Spark-SQL and Scala APIs
- Develop and optimize enterprise applications utilizing the Hadoop ecosystem
- Collaborate with business analysts to validate testing deliverables and secure sign-offs
- Conduct peer code reviews, pair programming, and post-production deployment checks
คุณสมบัติ / Qualifications
- Solid foundation in data structures, data manipulation, and distributed processing
- Working experience with Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Java, Hive, and Impala
- Familiarity with Kafka, Spark Streaming, Oracle, and machine learning concepts
- Understanding of continuous integration and deployment using Git, Jenkins, and DevOps practices
- Strong grasp of data warehousing methodologies and software automation
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills in an Agile environment
